CapX CapX by StratQuent

The capital readiness platform for companies raising institutional capital

Capital access. Built for what comes next.

Institutional capital, commercial networks, and advisory capacity, connected to the companies ready to use them.

The Gap

Capital markets reward companies that can tell a clear, evidence-backed story about where they are and where they're going. Most companies raising capital for the first time, or the fifth, have never had that story tested before it reaches an investor. Advisors are brought in after the pitch is already built, once the gaps are harder and more expensive to close. Investors, on the other hand, spend a disproportionate share of their time filtering opportunities that were never going to be ready, with little structured way to see past the deck to the underlying business.

CapX exists in that gap. It is built to test and strengthen a company's capital readiness before capital is sought, and to give investors a faster, more reliable way to find companies that have already done that work.

The Vision

A platform, not a single transaction.

CapX moves a company through four connected layers, Incubator, Deal Room, Capital Network, and Full Mandate, starting with an honest diagnostic of where the business stands today, and ending with direct introductions to investors whose mandate fits the raise. Each layer builds on the one before it: a company can enter for a diagnostic alone, or continue through architecture, narrative, and data room preparation, all the way to warm introductions, without having to restart the process with a new advisor at each stage.

For investors, CapX is a standing view into a pipeline of companies that have already been diagnosed, structured, and verified against a consistent set of standards, filterable by stage, geography, instrument, sector, and ticket size.

Who CapX Serves

Built for two starting points.

Companies building toward capital

Early stage through growth stage. A first institutional raise or the next round. Before any investor conversation begins, the business, the numbers, and the narrative go through a structured program, not a set of introductions.

Established businesses at an inflection point

Revenue-generating companies at a strategic turning point: a larger or cross-border raise, a new commercial market, or senior operational capacity to execute what's already been planned. The network, the advisory access, and the structured engagement move that work forward.

The Methodology

Six dimensions, one consistent standard.

Every company is evaluated against the same six dimensions, regardless of stage or industry, so a CapX Verified designation means the same thing every time.

Business Model Clarity

Whether the business itself can be explained plainly and holds up under scrutiny.

Financial Integrity

Whether the numbers are complete, consistent, and ready for outside review.

Capital Structure Suitability

Whether the raise itself, instrument, size, and terms, actually fits the business.

Market Evidence

Whether there's real proof the market wants what's being built.

Value Creation Evidence

Whether the plan for the capital is concrete enough to underwrite.

Management Completeness

Whether the team's roles and gaps are clear, even where not yet fully staffed.

The Platform

Capital access, layered to the situation.

01

Incubator — Entry Point

Where a company enters the program. A structured acceleration track covers the diagnostic, capital structure, value creation, and investor preparation work needed before outreach begins.

02

Deal Room — Private Capital Network

A confidential, NDA-gated environment where capital-ready companies and qualified investors engage directly. Companies post their raise. Investors filter by stage, geography, instrument, and sector. Entry is limited to program graduates and directly vetted companies.

03

Capital Network — Warm Introductions

Direct, principal-to-principal introductions to institutional capital across the United States, Latin America, Africa, and Asia Pacific, built through real advisory relationships rather than a database search.

04

Full Mandate

For situations that need more than the platform: capital architecture, raise and close execution, transaction advisory, commercial growth strategy, or operational capacity, carried from diagnostic through close.

The Program

Matched to where a company actually is.

Capital Readiness Program

FOR

Early and growth stage companies preparing for a first institutional raise or the next round.

STRUCTURE

Cohort-based. Quarterly intake. Four to six companies per cohort. Graduation is milestone-based, tied to the work being complete, not the calendar.

OUTCOME

A tested business plan, a designed capital structure, a targeted investor narrative, a diligence-ready data room, and introductions to the first qualified investors.

Accelerated Program

FOR

Companies with a live capital event approaching that can't wait for the next cohort.

STRUCTURE

The same six phases, run on an individual timeline with dedicated advisory attention.

OUTCOME

The same outcome as the Capital Readiness Program, delivered on a compressed timeline.

Growth and Capital Program

FOR

Established, revenue-generating businesses at a strategic inflection point.

ENGAGEMENT TYPES

Capital raise advisory for larger or cross-border raises. Commercial growth advisory for companies entering new markets. Operational advisory for companies that need senior execution capacity.

OUTCOME

A closed capital raise, a commercial strategy with a clear execution path, or senior operational leadership in place, depending on what the situation requires.

Every engagement starts with a free consultation, no cost, no obligation. Pricing is transparent from there, shared directly once we understand where your company actually stands.

Inside the Program

Six phases, from diagnostic to introduction.

01

Situation Diagnostic

A structured pressure-test of the business, the numbers, and the constraints, identifying what a serious investor would challenge before anyone sees a deck.

02

Capital Architecture

Design of the capital structure across equity, debt, structured capital, and non-dilutive options, with guardrails on dilution, governance, and leverage set before any investor conversation.

03

Value Creation Plan

A documented framework with owners, milestones, decision gates, and measurable outcomes, the proof that makes a raise underwritable.

04

Investor Narrative

The targeted narrative for the specific investor audience being approached, built on the capital structure and value creation evidence.

05

Data Room Preparation

A diligence-ready data room assembled before the first investor meeting, with every document a serious investor will request prepared and organised in advance.

06

Investor Introduction

Warm introductions to investors whose mandate, geography, stage, and instrument match the company's raise profile. The program ends with the introduction, not before it.

The Capital Ready designation

Every company is reviewed by an Investment Committee before moving to investor introduction. The bar is whether the capital ask, the numbers, the narrative, and the diligence materials actually hold together under scrutiny. Companies that clear it carry the Capital Ready designation, a signal of readiness to engage institutional capital, not a guarantee of funding.

Stakeholders

What each side of the network gets.

Investors

A pipeline of companies that have already been through the program, assessed for capital readiness, commercial viability, and investor fit before ever reaching the deal room.

Accelerator Partners

Accelerators, incubators, university programs, and development finance institutions extend what their own portfolio companies can access, institutional capital networks and advisory capacity most programs can't provide on their own.

Corporate Partners

Corporations looking for strategic partnerships, acquisition targets, or early access to high-growth sectors get a pipeline where every company carries a known commercial profile and capital trajectory.

Confidentiality

Selected Engagements, not a client list.

Every company that goes through CapX Accelerator does so in confidence. Nothing about a company's participation, its raise, or its outcome is published without that company's permission. As cohorts complete the program, this page will reflect that work the same way, through aggregate figures and anonymized descriptors, sector, geography, raise range, stage, rather than names or details tied to a specific mandate.

Beyond the Program

A separate, selective investment path.

CapX Accelerator's core program takes companies through the six-phase readiness process without requiring equity. Separately, CapX may participate selectively in individual company financings through dedicated, deal-specific structures, where appropriate and subject to applicable securities laws in the relevant jurisdictions, as the platform's track record develops. Any such participation is structured and disclosed independently of the core program, on terms specific to that individual investment.

Viability Checklist, for Companies

Before you begin the CapX diagnostic, use this list to gauge your own readiness. You don't need a "yes" on every line to start, the diagnostic is designed to find and close these gaps, but the more of these you can already answer, the faster you'll move through the program.

  • We can describe our business model in two or three sentences a non-expert would understand
  • We have financial statements (even informal ones) covering at least the last 12 months
  • We know how much we're raising, and roughly what it's for
  • We understand our current cap table and any existing investor terms
  • We can point to evidence that the market wants what we're building (customers, LOIs, usage data, or comparable traction)
  • We can describe, concretely, what the capital will let us do that we can't do today
  • Our leadership team's roles and gaps are clear to us, even if not yet fully staffed
  • We're prepared to share real financial and operational information with an outside diagnostic process

Viability Checklist, for Investors

Use this list to confirm CapX's pipeline is a fit for your mandate before registering.

  • Our mandate covers early-stage through growth-stage private companies
  • We can act on introductions without a multi-month internal approval process
  • We're comfortable reviewing companies pre-screened against a standardized diagnostic, rather than sourcing every deal ourselves
  • We have defined check-size, sector, and geography parameters we can specify for matching
  • We're able to move on warm introductions with a reasonably prompt initial response
  • We understand that CapX Verified reflects a consistent readiness standard, not an investment recommendation, diligence remains ours to do
